This restaurant in the southeast serves the best fish and chips. The staff is also fantastic. The service is so great that the quality of the food doesn't even matter. The fish is always perfectly cooked and delicious. View all feedback.
What Kane Mueller doesn't like about Brockley's Rock:
I was excited that my local chippy has a vegan menu, and the options l've tried (fish steak and vegan cake) were very good. However, my real favourite with chips is mushy peas, and the peas here aren't vegan! (They contain butter I have never been so disappointed about peas and they don't sell beans either. The food is very tasty, with perfectly cooked chips and large portion sizes, but it's all deep fried and there'... View all feedback.
We have vans, and oh my goodness! the vegan fish is one of the best I ever had in my life! the teig is good, the inner is good! only well done!
I had not expected much, but young oh young I was soou impressed by the vegan fish cake from tapioca and something else that it tasted and felt like fish. the texture was like fish. I was not so impressed by the vegan sausage, but loved that she served various aromes of fentiman drinks.
Many vegan and veggie main options had the tofu (especially tasteless) before, but the fish steak is the best thing I have tried and shattered is also good! mushy heapsen are homemade with vegetable butter and chips are great. it's pretty expensive, but best chippy I tried in South London updated by the previous review on 2021-05-13
So good! I am in love with this place to order such a privilege, “fish and chips” from a normal takeaway. they have so much choice (vegan fishcake, vegan scampi, vegan ‘cheek fillets’, vegan fish finger) me and my cucumber got it to take along and enjoyed it in the park ‘fish’ is so crispy, just so beautiful, in the location, ‘fish and chips’ to enjoy the vegan art, but like old times. real Friday night consumption!
I really enjoyed my fisch and chips here. Fulfilled my need for a salty, slightly greasy battered treat and I mean that in a positive way! One note, I came with a veggie friend and she found the fisch too realistic so, depending on what type of vegan you are, you might want to choose something else.
