Absolutely delicious three course meal with friendly and relaxed service to match. We loved everything we ate and it is obvious the chef takes great time and pride in perfecting each item on the menu. From the starters and mains, through to desserts, without doubt the best anniversary meal we have had in over twenty years and can't wait to return!
What a find! We’d passed this place a few times so thought we ought to give it a try one weekend lunchtime. What a lovely suprise to find such a gorgeous place. The sun was shining so we sat outside a lovely outdoor area. We had a warm welcome and the whole atmosphere was very relaxed. We had no idea what food to expect but everything we had was delicious more fine dining than pub food, really fresh and great flavours. We had a beautiful heritage tomato and burrata dish, followed by delicious cod and then a tart tatin. And a gorgeous glass of Sauvignon blanc to top it off. Really impressed, looking forward to coming back.
True hidden gem offering delightful dining experience. Everything was excellent from ambience to small talks with helpful staff and owners to service to delicious food. Make no mistake -it's not your usual countryside pub but rather a high end small dining venue offering delightful experience in a peaceful village near Cambridge. We will definitely be back!
I was tasked with organising a dinner for 25 people. The Pear and Olive just went that extra mile to accommodate us. Nothing was too much trouble and we planned it together. The evening surpassed all expectations. The food was absolutely sublime. I have never tasted anything so good as the lamb wellington. The standard of service was exemplary, the staff just lovely. I have run out of superlatives to describe the experience, so I urge you to go and try it yourself
