came here as part of a group booking for the mg owners club. we sat in the functional room, just outside the bar, because there were so many of us. the eating was excellent and the waiting staff really has to meet all the meals to such a big one. did not get much of a look at the rest of the place (but years ago remember it! but it has a very warm atmosphere. Staff were all lovely and helpful and the atmosphere was nice, classic British pub. However the food was pretty bad- didn’t taste of anything and was pretty watery (also found hair in the chicken gravy) Have been here before and the food was equally as...bad as last time. The food was good and the atmosphere was excellent. We did book but only on the day so not too far in advance. The pub was really cosy with the log burner going and my dog loved it. The bar staff were very friendly and made a fuss of the dog. Dogs are allowed to be in the bar area only, so if you are taking your furry friend make sure you tell them when booking to get the right area. Price per person: £20–30
