Great cafe! The coffee was strong and full of flavour. The service was friendly and fits with the style of the cafe. I enjoyed looking at the memorabilia in the cafe and the feel of Cuba inside. I would recommend for price, service and the experience. View all feedback.
What Cordelia McClure doesn't like about Paladar Fumior Salon:
I get excited when I stumble upon quirky cafés and Paladar was no exception. Its eye-catching red walls and decorations reminded me of a nostalgia shop and that was just the beginning. Pushing through a heavy wooden door and going up the narrow stairs takes you to the café’s rooftop terrace which easily lets you pretend that you are in a small coffee shop in Cuba . Then all that is left to do is relax. I enjoyed my l... View all feedback.
The coffee here is so great I recently bought a bag of beans to take home. It makes a great cup every time, even with my minimal home coffee skills. Still, the great service and unique atmosphere will always bring me back for a fresh cup on the rooftop.
Paladar is owned and operated by friends of ours, but it wasn’t always. At first it was just a coffee and cigar shop. But that’s the remarkable thing, in addition to having consistently great coffee and an unmatched cigar selection (so I’m told), people enjoy an immediate welcoming comfort of something familiar. Better than the coffee was a the discovery of a small group of women from Japan who had discovered Paladar that week and made it their regular morning stop. They were lovely and wanted to visit with anyone that would pause in their day. When was the last time you were in a cafe where the owner was given a gift from a patron? We always call in when we’re in Brisbane, everyone should.

I simply can't say enough about Paladar and Fil. Yes, the coffee is great. Yes, you could receive an education in cigars. Yes, Paladar is routinely named a place to go in Brisbane. But it's more than that. Paladar is the result of a vision and a passion for connecting people, Fil's weapon of choice (in this instance) is coffee and cigars. Pop by and see what the fuss is all about.
This has a been an occasional visitor to this tiny coffee shop when I visit South Brisbane. The only issue is usually getting a park in the area. The coffee is great and though I'm not a smoker, the smell of cigars, pastries and coffee is very nice. Filip is real nice guy and loves his business (has a cool beard too). Cuban style in dime size.
