Goma Bistro is a lovely spot for lunch by the river and it also supports the local museum. The staff is consistently friendly. I tried the banh mi with daikon and shiitake mushroom cake, which was an intriguing alternative to tofu. It was fresh and delicious, although I personally would have preferred a bit more chili and more crunch. View all feedback.
What beancurdled doesn't like about Goma Bistro:
Got hungry visiting the galleries so wandered down to the sunny deck next to the river. Wasn’t sure about my options but was pleasantly surprised. On the winter menu, vegan options are roasted cauliflower as a “light meal” and BBQ pumpkin as a main. I ordered the cauliflower in a pinch and was pretty delighted when it landed on my table. A quarter cauli, curried chickpeas, spinach leaves, cherry tomatoes, parsnip chi... View all feedback.
In the cafe connected to an art gallery, I anticipate that the food will complement the art experience. On a spontaneous decision, I opted for a light lunch after viewing an exhibition, and it turned out to be just right. I chose the coconut chicken salad, and I'm so pleased that I did. Every ingredient harmonized beautifully with the others. It was flavorful, light, and nutritious. The service was prompt, and the staff members were charming.
The restaurant offers a lovely, refreshing atmosphere on a hot day, with plenty of space to take in the river views. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Although the menu isn't very large, it was still hard to decide on our selections. We shared the roasted cauliflower and salmon, both of which were delicious. The prices were quite reasonable considering the generous portion sizes, and the drinks were affordably priced as well. The presentation of the food was impressive, and the staff took the time to explain the details of each dish. Overall, it was a delightful way to spend an afternoon enjoying delicious food, the river, the architecture, and the art.
The place to go if you want to chill. The outdoor space on the river is relaxing and peaceful for the centre of the city. Food, coffee and drinks are good quality with matching prices. Line up for service by polite staff. Overall a fantastic place to visit.
Great share plates the charcoal chicken and corn is amazing. Pork with apple and plum is also another great dish. The quality of the menu has fast improved since I was last here
The location is stunning, and the food is delicious. The decor is charming and inviting. I highly recommend visiting the GOMA cafe for a lovely lunch break while exploring the gallery. You should also consider having morning tea after lunch—it's definitely worth it!
