Grub Burger Bar Restaurant

Came by twice before 4th of July (2023) and had an awesome and modified Hangover Burger both times! They were both delicious and exclusive to the holidays! The staff and management are/were friendly, awesome and kind! You can tell when you have a great and awesome management team cause the staff members are smiling and have a little bit of a pep in their step. The atmosphere is nice as well! Nicely lit, indoor and outdoor seating, has a nice bar area and a mix of seating variety. Please keep up the excellent work and keep being the best team and individuals that you all can be! We will be back! Update: 06/22/2024 We're back!!! Management staff and food are still amazing!!

A few weeks ago, my wife and I went to Grub burger because we had not eaten here in a few years. Prior to arriving we checked if they have gluten free buns due to my wife gluten allergy. So, we ordered burgers with her order asking for a gluten free bun. Once the order was received and she had taken a bite, I noticed that her bun looked a lot like mine. I told my wife to stop eating and checked with the waitress to see if her bun was a regular bun. She verified the bun was a regular bun and not gluten free. The concerning part is that she seemed not to know about gluten allergy. So, the kitchen messed up on the allergy order and the waitress did not even know about the allergy... This is concerning because, even though my wife's allergy is a slight allergy, what would have happened if it was someone with celiac disease. The management needs to train their employees to handling allergy situations better. She did change the bun and comped me the burger (only because I asked). Besides that, in my honest opinion, the burger was mid at best and there are better burgers in Bryan like Chubby's.

I had blackened shrimp tacos. Absolutely fabulous. I would get it again if I go back. Homemade tortillas, coleslaw,shrimp was divine. There also was steamed veggies. It was delicious!

Went here today for something different and boy was it different. I ordered a burger called the legend and an order of onion rings. My wife ordered buffalo Mac and cheese. It was just okay, nothing special she said it was Meh. Now to my so called hamburger and onion rings. This legend burger was anything but a burger. It has to be the worst tasting hamburger I’ve ever put in my mouth. The onion rings didn’t even taste like an onion ring. The onion was cocked to perfection with a great breading on it, but zero flavor. This was the first time going here and it will be our last time. There was nothing about this place that was gourmet. $35.00+ tip for 1-drink, 1-order of onion rings, and Buffalo Mac and cheese, and a burger that wasn’t fit to eat!

This was our first visit here but definitely will not be our last! The bacon Mac cheese burger hit all the right notes!
