We came here for a gathering and I can't really rate this place. It's an awesome restaurant with a lot of history but it was so packed (college baseball game). We didn't really eat. But it is definitely a fun college restaurant. View all feedback.
What Jason Irwn doesn't like about Dixie Chicken:
The food was ok... my fries were not cooked well. Had the basic burger, it was good but oh so pricey nowadays. Service was very fast, though ,maybe that is how they get the food out so fast. View all feedback.
College dive bar with great food! Worth the experience, it will take you back to your 20s guaranteed!

I think this is probably great college bar. The food is eh for me. But for college kids would be great. I had a taco and they told me what to expect which was a chopped up burger in the soft shell. Came burrier in chips lol. And that’s what I got. Drinks were good. Service was great. Everyone was very nice. Bunch of pool tables and TVs. TAMU great spot.
Place hasn't changed in 30yrs. Tastes the same... smells the same :
This is a classic must do place in College Station. The atmosphere is awesome. It is unpretentious and a rustic. I particularly enjoyed their UT shrine (see the photos and note there is a huge rattlesnake in it . This is just what you would expect from an A&M hang out.
