Applebee's - South Boston

This is my first time writing a review, which really speaks to how disappointed I felt after my visit. The food was decent, but the bartender was quite rude throughout the night. When I tried to order a drink, she looked at me as if I were an idiot and responded with a very annoyed, "Okay." Later, she returned to inform us that she couldn't make the drink, which I completely understand, but the way she handled the situation could have been much more courteous. We considered leaving due to the overall experience, but opted to stay and finish our meal in the hope that we were misinterpreting her passive-aggressive attitude. Unfortunately, that negativity persisted. In the end, we left a decent tip, even though it felt unearned, because I understand how tough it can be in the service industry.

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant! The service was excellent, and I dined in for lunch, spending around $30 to $50 per person. The food was solid, earning a rating of 4 out of 5, while the service was outstanding at a perfect 5. The atmosphere, however, was just average, rated a 3. Overall, it was a great visit!

The food did not justify the hour-long wait, and it certainly wasn't worth the price. For over $40, I would have rather gone to a fast food restaurant. At least there, I’d be prepared for disappointment but would get my food quickly. I won't be returning. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
