Was Marlen Promann at Render a mag?
A charming restaurant with exceptionally friendly service and a welcoming chef. They even treated our children to small gifts and show great support for veterans. View all feedback.
What John Alhelm dislikes about Render:
This was my first time at Render since they reinvented themselves. I was truly disappointed with the very limited menu. There was not much that genuinely appealed to me. They sell themselves as a shareables restaurant and I, along with my fellow dining partners, found the size of the portions pretty small for some thing they recommend sharing. First time and Zack explained the small plates and menu.We tried the Bao ,kale salad and burger. All excellent. The Crème Brule was just the right amount of creamywonderful.
Susan and I went to Render yesterday and had one of the finest meals we have ever had. Each shareable entree from the Bao to Tiramisu was presented beautifully and the unique tastes included with each were superb. Thanks for a great experience. We will be doing this again.
Our server, Scott, was very helpful in explaining the menu to us since it was our first visit. We shared all the plates we ordered. The chicken bao was crispy, delicious and topped with pickled cucumbers and peppers. The crab cakes had great flavor. The New York Strip was cooked perfectly and it was very tender. Let me say, I’m not a huge fan of Brussels sprouts. These were amazing. The parsnip purée was a great addition to the flavors of the vegetables. If you’re a fan of crème brûlée, save room for the trio. The vanilla was tasty, chocolate was rich and creamy, but the favorite was butterscotch. We will be back and next time, I hope it’s on ramen night!
Went to Render during Restaurant week where they had a special deal “3 plates dessert for $40” and it was worth. I enjoyed the squid ink linguine the most.
