While some diners rave about delightful meals with generous portions and friendly service, others lament soggy, greasy offerings that left them unsatisfied. Highlights include perfectly cooked fish with light batter and delicious chips, making for a worthwhile stop during a coastal visit. However, concerns about over-greased dishes and inconsistent quality are echoed among critics. Overall, the eatery attracts attention for its inviting atmosphere and picturesque location, suggesting that while it holds promise, it may require some culinary adjustments to meet all diners' expectations.
We had superb fish and chips for lunch. The quality was absolutely first class. The staff could not have been more helpful or welcoming!!!!
I tried this fish and chip shop for the first time and I will definitely be going back! I had a smoked sausage supper with a light and crispy batter. The chips were delicious, and my wife was really impressed with her chips and mushy peas. This is one of the best fish and chip shops I have been to in a long time!
Just bought a portion of chips a single fish and a portion of curry sauce .Worst meal ever seagulls appeared to enjoy it. The fish was not cooked fresh and was in the hot cabinet when I arrived it was a soggy greasy mess . Chips were awful all tiny pieces which were reheated and grey in colour couldn’t eat anything definitely won’t be back
The fish and chips were extremely greasy. Although the portion size was decent, the food was swimming in oil. The service was average, but the restaurant needs to improve their cooking techniques.
The staff greeted us warmly when we arrived at the restaurant. Both my partner and I decided to order the fish and chips, which we enjoyed while sitting by the water. The food was delicious, but we found it to be a bit too greasy. Unfortunately, we felt the greasy effects all day. Overall, we liked the food, but it's not a place we would return to quickly.
