Italiani Dop - SORRENTO

The tour was lead by the enthusiastic Claudia at a lemon and olive farm in Massa Lubrense. A full and informative visit with tasters of Limon cello, a selection of oils and citrus products all from the farm. Onto Il Turrizillo, home to Benedecto and his family, a tour of the organic farm showing the importance of good animal food and welfare to the local food. He demonstrated production of mozarella, Monaco DOP and other cheeses all generously handed out with local tomatoes , wine and bread. Finally onto Francisco's pizzeria where he showed us the making of authentic pizza and ee had a brilliant time shaping, throwing and preparing our own from Bene's mozzarella and local tomatoes and basil. A great meal finished off with local apple almond tart. A great experience. Do go and support these local food heroes. One small warning! We were transported between venues in little Piaggo 50cc vans through the most amazingly small and windy mountain roads. Not for the faint hearted!

We were a young couple visiting sorrento for the first time. Initially drawn to this place as they were showing the olympics we went back several times over our 2 week stay. The owner was exteremly friendly and helpful. He made the effort to remember us and have a chat whenever we popped in. The wine was excellent as was my partners litre peroni.... fun as a one off : we would highly recommend this bar and will go back next time we visit the amazing sorrento!

What to say... Just a regular meal with not so many expectations. Food seemed to be frozen and precooked. The bill was not so frozen but hot! : If you are really hungry and nowhere else to go get in there... but if you can choose another place... Sorry to say that but it is the true.

Stopped off for a drink after dinner was september so quiet but nice atmosphere and great service. Nice to have a drink and people watch.

I enjoyed a break at this cozy place for a glass of Italian beer and use of free wifi. Very nice to sit outside and watch people go by.
