What fja7591 doesn't like about Guarracino Cocktail Food:
Visited early evening. Service definitely without any smile. Not allowed to choose where we sat despite being less than 50% full. Plate of large grilled prawns (4 for €24) served without finger bowl, extra napkins ir lemon sachets, we're gritty and poop line not removed so had to remove with fingers. Waiters not attentive could not see we were wanting to pay. Over priced for quality if food and a shot of bright blue... View all feedback.
This restaurant was our most favorite of those we tried during our recent eight day visit to Sorrento. It was recommended to us by Marco at the front desk of Hotel Desiree (another favorite spot see my review) and we were told to mention the hotel and ask for Stefano when we arrived. Stefano and his entire family (or so it seemed when we were introduced to everyone) operate the restaurant and do an AMAZING job. The menu offered local specialties that would please even the most finicky palate and all at amazingly reasonable prices.
The restaurant adds a cover charge to the meal even though their sign in English says that they don’t do that practice. Food was good. But, I don’t like being lied to.
I would not recommend this restaurant at all. There are mixed reviews posted..as soon as sat down the table cloth was dirty. There is no personal service. Tried to rush us ordering and because had not decided we’re left waiting to order. The food is not value for money and not authentic Italian. Paid 50 euros. They put a cover charge on your bill where other places don’t. We ordered the special prawn tagliatelle with lemon cream sauce. Dish came with 4 small prawns and overpowered with lemon. The lasagne was very small and did not seem homemade as stated. It does not have a family feel. Wished we had gone to the restaurant immediately behind which looked liked it had quality food and personal service. One star is rating it to high…AVOID!!
Amazing eating, good value for money
