What PIPER doesn't like about The Kebab Factory An Indian Bistro:
Extremely bad experience. I ordered chicken biryani through uber eats and received some veg rice which had so much mushrooms, bell peppers and peas. I was expecting something which had a lot of flavour and only chicken as it is supposed to be but was extremely disappointed. View all feedback.
I visited this restaurant out of curiosity since I had often walked by it. Despite its name, 'Factory,' the food took a long time to arrive. I ordered tikka masala, vindaloo, a large basket of naan, and chicken kebab. It took over an hour for the food to be served, and to my surprise, everything was incredibly bland. I was shocked that the vindaloo, which looked well-seasoned, tasted like nothing—just water. The kebab was merely charred, and the tikka masala was average at best, though it was the best part of the meal overall. My favorite item was the basmati rice. After waiting 1.5 hours, I still hadn’t received my large basket of naan, so I decided to give up and asked the waitress to remove it from my bill. She seemed confused and claimed I hadn’t ordered it, although she had taken my order, described what would be in the large basket, and confirmed it when she went over my order again. Apparently, she hadn’t actually added it. Overall, while I was willing to try a new place, I definitely won't be returning. I'd rather spend a bit more for Passage to India, which is always a delightful experience.
This time, I went with my family and made a reservation for eight. We placed our order, but only one dish arrived. When I inquired about the others, our server said they were on the way. Unfortunately, not all the appetizers were served, and when I asked about them, she informed me that they were unavailable. After waiting for 20 minutes, I asked for our full order again, and she suggested I might want to cancel it. Frustrated, I went to speak with the chef, who revealed that the server had never actually placed our order. Eventually, a second dish arrived, but when I asked about the third, the server claimed I hadn’t ordered it. I've never felt so embarrassed in a restaurant before; this was the worst experience I've ever had. After looking at other reviews, I can see now that this place is not managed well. The two women serving us seemed untrained and confused. I really hope they can improve their service, or I fear they won’t last long.
I’ve ordered the tikka masala with paneer several times before and was always satisfied. However, today my order arrived without any paneer at all. I called the restaurant to inquire, and they informed me that the chef usually puts only 2-3 pieces of paneer in the dish, which hasn’t been the case for me in the past. This will definitely be my last time ordering from here.
Very very bad choice for biryani. I expected kebabs to be good but they are completely under cooked. They are not polite either. I just opted to see the old people working hard. But this is not a place for good food.
Awful and inedible. I went here with my friends for a weekend lunch buffet and not only was the taste of the food completely bland and awful, some of it was also inedible. The potato stuffing for pani puri was spoiled and was stinking. We informed theperson at the counter and she said she will replace. But the fact that it made it to the counter where people were getting theirfood is itself a big deal. Additionally, pani of pani puri was a giant block of ice thawing in the container. Chicken tikkamasala was full of tomato taste, no paneer to be found in matar paneer and gulab jamun was overly sweet. Absolutely don'trecommend it.
