Description

Project P.U.B. is an innovative dining experience located in downtown Somerville, NJ. Each month, we feature a different brewery with up to 12 draft lines and a specially curated menu to complement the brewery's offerings. After the month is over, we bring in a new brewery and create a fresh menu. Our cozy atmosphere, delectable brewpub-style food, and selection of delicious beers from top breweries make us a must-visit destination for beer enthusiasts.

Project Pub wasn’t our original choice when we found ourselves navigating the hectic Thanksgiving traffic from Massachusetts to Pennsylvania. However, by the time we were walking back to our car for the final leg of our journey, we jokingly said we should consider moving there just for Shrub Pub. Sitting at the bar, we had a great time chatting with the bartenders and the owners, Max and Rocco. They kept suggesting and serving us an array of delicious food and drinks, and we truly didn’t want the fun to end.

Fantastic brunch destination! I enjoyed a flight of mimosas that were absolutely delightful, paired with the indulgent apple pie French toast. Everything was fresh and expertly prepared—none of it tasted pre-made or out of a can. The service was quick, and the atmosphere was charming.

This is a fantastic place! I've visited about 20 times since it opened, including their first Halloween party. The food is excellent, and the bar, restaurant, and patio seating are all very pleasant. The current drink selection is great, although I wish they would bring back the brewery events they used to host. The service is generally good—no complaints there. The only reason I deducted stars is that the upstairs bar is often closed due to staffing issues. It did reopen for a while in late 2020, which was understandable, but since then, it has frequently remained closed.

Great place, have been there 20 times ever since it opened including their first Halloween party. Food really good Bar, restaurant, patio seating nice. Current selection good , as well as when they used to host brewery?s (bring that back) Service is good no complaints Only reason I take stars away is the upstairs bar is often closed due to ?staffing issues.?Upstairs re opened a little later in 2020 which was understandable but since it has been very inconsistent. For example, upstairs project pub bar (not Tapastre) was closed Oct 21st 2022 of this week a Friday evening at 5pm. It has been closed onnumerous ?busy? (peak) days in past when I have tried to come in due to ?staffing issues? (would say 4 5 times since I?mlocal) Shame they can?t manage, every bar in town has been fully open at any point for over a year. They have all figured it outyou guys have to as well. (Verve has 2 bars and staffs them on peak days, Village staffs all week, Alfonso?s , Manions noissues). Based on this I assume the owners don?t care and/or very poor management, but don?t blame staffing since a lot oflocals have managed. PS: they try to run this as one large restaurant/bars with Tapastre which is a big mistake.Servers/hostesses are great but running around accommodating is rough. This is a great place ?. When they decide to openProject Pub fully!

Project Pub was not our first choice driving home through the crazy Thanksgiving traffic from MA to PA, but by the end of our experience walking back to our car for the last hour of our trip we joked we should move there just for Shrub Pub. Bellied upto the bar we enjoyed the banter with bartenders and Shrub Pub owners Max and Rocco. They kept recommending and serving usdelicious food and drinks and we really did not want to stop enjoying the explosion of deliciousness. From the Shepherd Pie andSalmon sliders, to the ales, stouts and old fashion we returned to our evening interstate drive with a bounce in our step.
