I tried Koshari Mama for the first time last week and I can't stop thinking about it! The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is very friendly. We tried the just aubergine, mushroom shawarma, falafel plate, and chicken sandwich (not shown) - everything was incredibly tasty. I highly recommend it as some of the best vegan food around! What User doesn't like about Koshari Mama:
Food is expensive, portions small. I ordered the mushroom shawarma and kabe kofta; $46.Mushroom shawarma is okay, very garlicky sauce. Rice was dry and over cooked. The kabe kofta is impossible meat battered and deep fried. For $20 I was expecting an entree, not an appetizer. The restaurant is understaffed. Sweet ladies, but the ratio of staff to customer for dinner service meant the waitstaff was overworked. View all feedback.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! The food is incredible, and the service is exceptional. Everything is always fresh and delicious! The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating to those with dietary restrictions. My go-to items are the mushroom shawarma sandwich or bowl and the spicy chicken sandwich. The Koshari is unmatched in taste and authenticity. My carnivorous husband also thoroughly enjoyed the food and wouldn't mind coming back often. I highly recommend Koshari Mama to both vegans and non-vegans!
I absolutely adore this restaurant! The food is fantastic and the service is top-notch. Everything is always fresh and delicious! The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating, especially with special requests. My go-to dishes are the mushroom shawarma sandwich or bowl and the spicy chicken sandwich. The Koshari is hands-down the best I've ever had - authentic, flavorful, and just perfect! Even my meat-loving husband enjoyed the food and would happily return. I highly recommend Koshari Mama for both vegans and non-vegans!
This is a new Egyptian/Lebanese place in somerville. beautiful, colorful decor. very clean, Egyptian music in the background to play. super friendly staff. the aubergine-fritten appetizer was hot and tasty. my fake looked great, but was actually pretty dirty. they have to clean it up or get a hot sauce on the side. the fungal sandwich of my friend was decent, but a bit expensive.
I'm a car with carnivores. I finally decided to give koshari mama a shot, and young. the fried aubergine was delicious and perfected! also the mushroom, the pfeffer and the wobble with garlic cream sauce was great. dina and katie treated my man and I like family. it was great to see two WHS alumni and look so good!
