Cafe Rustica is a lovely european cafe off of Beacon Street. It fits nice with the local homes and business- sitting right beside a nice laundromat and near the local bike shop. The service is warm and welcoming, the owners are happier to double check your order and always want you to have something enjoyable. I love a Lavazza espresso so i’m happy to get one well made here. The prosciutto prob was delectable as-made... View all feedback.
What h22101 doesn't like about Cafe Rustica:
We wanted to eat outside but there was only one small table. The same table was inside but we were told we couldn't bring it outside maybe this was a new Cambridge Covid rule not sure. We crowded around one of two indoor tables. Even though we were eating there, everything was served in take out containers, which also may have been due to Covid. I ordered a tuna salad without onion and received some salad greens with... View all feedback.
*Hidden gem alert* Was nearby getting car serviced (Aris auto; recommend) and needed a quiet place to pump out a bit of the ole 9-5. Casually strolled into pretty much the most quaint and lovely little neighborhood cafe I’ve seen in Cambridge thus far — falling in Love is that easy, folks. Regulars stationing themselves in their usual spots inside, chitchatting away with newspapers in hand, waiting for their coffee and/or food. Relaxing acoustic guitar bgm playing in the background; exactly what I was looking for. Ordered a dbl espresso and an egg sandwich (2 eggs w/ additions of sausage, onions, red peppers and cheddar cheese) from the gentleman at the counter and sat down at an open spot. Coffee food came lightning fast and hot. Strong, good espresso paired with a delicious everything bagel filled w/ fresh pipping hot ingredients; what’s not to love? Total came out to be $10 which is a complete steal considering the amt of food and the quality. The gentlemen running the establishment professional and courteous. Can not ask for a better experience — highly recommend. Cafe rústica just bagged themselves another regular.
I wish I had discovered this place sooner. This is a very cozy place with great sandwiches, croissants, and grilled muffins. The coffee is unbeatable and probably the best in the area. (P.S. everything is reasonably priced as well) Love the backyard seating and the warmth with which they greet and serve customers.
I could not have get through my grad school years without their coffee and their kind words. This store is an absolute hidden gem, I wish more people know about this store. Food is great, owners are very friendly and very kind. They sometimes even gave me free coffee when I was feeling down!
Been coming here for years. The owners are super people and genuinely friendly and you can tell the place is filled with regulars a great sign. I always get the Rustica special (with prosciutto and peppers! . This is exactly the kind of neighborhood cafe that you live in a city for.
What a wonderful place, the owners are lovely. Don’t miss the Gazpacho, better than Spain! Sandwiches are delicious. I come here every time I am in town.
