There were three of us. Entrees came out at different times, which I do not like. However, food was delicious and hot and service was very good. We also ordered a 1/2 bottle on Hopewell valley Pinot Grigio. It was good. Highly recommend Lucas even with staggered entree service. View all feedback.
What Myrtie Bechtelar doesn't like about Luca's Ristorante:
The food here is delicious. You just cannot eat here frequently because it is so expensive. The veal chop special, while I’m sure it was amazing, was $59!!! The pasta is homemade and the sauces are yummy and their homemade bread is yummy but it was $400 for 4 adults and a kid. I’d love for this to be one of our favorites but it’s a special occasion place only. View all feedback.
The food here is Amazing. The server Matt was excellent and very attentive. He engaged well too. The setting is Beautiful and all in all we had an excellent Anniversary of 35 years. The price with appetizer and cappuccino was $114. However you get what you pay for and we have dinner for tonight as the portions were excellent. I highly recommend Luca's and I too am a former Restaurant owner. Thank you, Paulie
Luca's never disappoints!!! The food is fresh, delicious and their menu is fabulous. They are not an every day Italian place. They have traditional Italian selections as well more creative, unique entrees that you won't find anywhere else. The atmosphere is like being is a family restaurant in Ischia Italy, the staff is also super friendly. I highly recommend- I wish I lived a bit closer so I could dine here more often.
This is the first time we've been back in years, and it's only gotten better. It was always good, but now even with the still-generous portions, the food was fresher, brighter, less heavy. Here's what we had and enjoyed: the pear salad, which was perfect to share, the Jaclyn- broccoli rabe with sausage over orecchiette, the Genovese- short ribs with gnocchi, and the classic chicken parm. The only small disappointment was during dessert. The sorbet selection listed blood orange, which they were out of and we had an early reservation , instead offering lemon or bubblegum ?! . Same with the gelato- of the three flavors listed, there was only one scoop left of one flavor. We weren't charged for it, so that was nice. The rest of us ended up with the crème brûlée, and that was wonderful. We won't wait so long to return. Be sure to make a reservation a week in advance for a Saturday table!
Appetizer bread ,Service, dinner. Ambience wonderful and excellent. My desert Canoli was uninspiring and tiny though. Crème brûlée and Tirimisu was ok not memorable. I will definitely go back but maybe pass on desert.
We love Luca's, and we eat here often! It's a hidden gem and feels like a little slice of Italy! The food is incredible, and we have had just about everything on the menu! The pasta is homemade and the seafood (we love the branzino and the salmon is extremely fresh and delicious! The meatball appetizer, chicken Parmesan and the gnocchi with braised beef and the scallops are soooo good! I also recommend ordering whatever the specials are, as they're always amazing. Yesterday was my birthday and the staff made my experience extra special, even putting a sparkler on my dessert (you must try the Pompeii and gelato! Also, a special shout out to Luca for making us feel like VIP at every visit!
