Contribute Feedback What Emily Pirie likes about Ballard Inn:
We had a fabulous stay at the inn. The breakfast with 3 options that changed each morning plus a starter of fresh fruit or a pastry was absolutely delicious (especially loved the eggs Benedict and the granola options). The cookies at night was a special touch. The whole inn is beautiful and the service was top notch. Thanks for a great stay and look forward to hopefully coming back again!! Highly recommend this wonde... View all feedback.
What Clay Ingram doesn't like about Ballard Inn:
The staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was fine and roomy. There is construction going on around the property which made it a little noisy and not so attractive to look outside. What really surprised me was their very meager breakfast. We were served a cold and hard quiche that we couldn’t even eat, some cheap granola, yougart, and strawberries. When we booked the room, it claimed a homemade breakfast. For pay... View all feedback.
This was our fourth stay at Ballard Inn, fabulous area and new owners have excellent upgrades to the hotel's common areas and terraces to enjoy excellent seating areas. We received warm, friendly handwritten cards on our bed for our anniversary and my birthday, which is a nice touch! And of course the biscuits placed in our room every evening always appreciated. We enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant, Kip and the entire staff made our evening perfect!! I think some of the rooms are probably in the middle of the upgrade, our were a bit worn out, understandable in view of the changes that are in progress (the landscape crew was very quiet, ensuring that not noise, very appreciated) Overall our stay was very relaxing and pleasant!
The Inn is charming with many places (including veranda) to sit and chat. Our room (Jarado) was very comfortable hard wooden floor, armoire to hang clothes, beautiful decor. Bed linen were nice. The bed was too soft for us (there was an egg-crats-foam cup), but we survived. The continental breakfast was very good fresh quiche and scones, granola and yogurt. I wish they had fruit too. Didn't eat in the restaurant. Bakery over the street is excellent, although expect a long wait. Nice neighborhood.
After 5 nights, I'm sorry to end my time here. I really enjoyed being pampered. Your complementary breakfast, complementary evening cold cuts, cheese and wine are an incredible opportunity to get strangers together for interesting conversations. The freshly baked cookies at night are the cherry on the cake. Thank you. The reception girls welcome me with great smiles every time I arrived at the hotel and wished me a happy day every time during the departure for the day. The hotel is a boutique hotel, small, furnished with great taste and centrally located. A bit expensive, but worth every cent. Very recommended.
The staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was good and cozy. It's about the property that makes it a little loud and not so attractive to look outside. What really surprised me was her very happy breakfast. We were served a cold and hard quiche that we could not even eat, some cheap granola, dugart and strawberries. When we booked the room, it claimed a homemade breakfast. A decent breakfast is available for payment of more than $500.00 for a room.
We have stayed at the exquisite Ballard Inn four times previously. It is nestled in such a lovely, private, quiet area. Simply gorgeous! This was our first time staying since new owners have taken over. They are doing some remarkable and impressive improvements. We were not aware that the fabulous dining room is closed on Mondays Tuesdays, so I cannot comment on the new chef or menu. However, everything else was up to the standard of the Ballard?s prior reputation in regards to room cleanliness, public space ambiance, delicious breakfast, and evening wine charcuterie. We particularly enjoyed the new restaurant manager, Kip, a knowledgeable sommelier who shared much information and stories about the valley. In addition, the staff are all amazingly sweet and helpful. Highly recommend the Mountain Room as it is large and has a private balcony. Ballard Inn is by far the best place to stay in the area!
