Had a drink and light dinner with a friend here. We were looking for a place at the river which is not in the city and this fits the bill. A little hard to find maybe, near the CIS tennis center, but if you drive easy to access and enough parking space. The terrace overlooks the river with boats docked there. Nice chilled location. What Captain-KirkD doesn't like about Restaurant Pier11:
The location and facility is great: nice view of the river with inviting decor. The menu selection was nice and offered several seasonal selections as well as the standard menu (see photos). The seasonal pumpkin soup (Kürbissuppe) was excellent. For the main course, I chose the venison (Rehpfeffer) while my friend chose the fish and chips. The venison was edible, but had cooked for much too long. The fish and chips,... View all feedback.

A little hard to find maybe, near the CIS tennis center, but if you drive easy to access and enough parking space. The terrace overlooks the river with boats docked there. Nice chilled location. Pier11 has a fine menu of classics like burgers, salads, fries, beef tartare and ice cream. We had cesar salad and coupe Denmark (vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce). Both fine dishes. The service was extremely prompt like I rarely see it, the waiters here are really making sure not to let you wait! This is not a given at all in Switzerland, so this place does a great job here (and it was fairly packed).
It is so beautiful that we fell in love with this place. It is just very close to the river and you can see the water if you sit on a table near the window. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. There is a play ground just next to it so kids can play there while you enjoy your drink. There is also a camp side where there were many caravans, I guess that it would be a busy place for summer. We only had a coffee which was good, the service was very good too, polite and fast. Nothing to say for the bathrooms, just spotless!

The seasonal pumpkin soup (Kürbissuppe) was excellent. For the main course, I chose the venison (Rehpfeffer) while my friend chose the fish and chips. The venison was edible, but had cooked for much too long. The fish and chips, I'm told, were excellent. We spent a little over 100$ on the meal for two.
We stayed overnight at the camping site and were happy to find this restaurant for dinner. Nice location at the riverside, with friendly service. I had fresh fish, a good salad, and a nice glass of wine. Gluten free food was no problem.
The idea is there but there's a real problem of balance on the plate too salty or too sweet. It was frustrating because the food looks so tasty! Otherwise good service, modern and stylish design in a nice environment.
