There are about 20 restaurants along the harbour front at Porto de Soller. We chose this one because it had plants and flowers in pots so was not a concrete jungle and because it did not have a waiter who jumped out and tried to persuade you. What Eve065 doesn't like about Can Joan:
Prawns in garlic here do not come in the usual sizzling fashion but n a lukewarm sauce. The prawns are large and rubbery and probably from Thailand. There was little of the intense garlic and spice taste which this dish normally has. View all feedback.
Amazing food, great service, amazing atmosphere to enjoy tapas and paella, would recommend 100%. Love tapas food
Had a lovely meal with friends and were very well looked after by Maria! I had a beautiful caprese salad (with extra pesto, thanks Maria) others had an amazing seafood paella, beautiful king prawn salad. Thoroughly enjoyed our impromptu evening there even managed to learn a bit of Hungarian! Thank you to Maria and Joan, the owner, who was fabulous.

Lovely food, sangria and atmosphere. Paella was especially delicious. Sangria went down well and a good selection of Mallorquin wines. Teens enjoyed too.
