I am extremely disappointed that all food and drinks are served in takeaway containers even for dine-in customers. There are only paper plates and cups available, along with wooden cutlery. This seems like a huge waste of resources. Despite the excellent staff and delicious food, I will not be returning to this restaurant.
It seems that nothing has changed since my last visit to this restaurant. I ordered a sausage and egg sandwich and was disappointed with the food. The bread was chewy and there was too much sauce, despite my request for none. My main issue is that I was only given one and a half sausages in my sandwich. Why was I shorted half a sausage? I suspect I was charged for a full sausage but only received half, and the other half was used in another sandwich. This is not a good way to operate a business. I will be reporting this to the local council and standards office.
Why has this café turned into a fast-food joint? It used to be a pleasure to enjoy a nice pot of tea or a tasty cup of coffee served in proper ceramic teapots and cups! Now it's served in disposable cups, taking away from the inviting atmosphere. The sandwiches and cakes are still excellent and delicious, but now they come in paper bags! What happened to the high quality and standards of this establishment?
Nice coffee but still served in paper cups? What’s all that about, if I wanted a paper cup (which I never do) I would have take out. Cakes far too large and expensive.
