Dorridge Fish - Solihull

The fish batter was too thick, undercooked, and very greasy so we ended up throwing it away. However, the fish inside was still edible. The chips were also undercooked and very greasy. For a better seafood option, we recommend trying the chip shop in Hockey Heath.

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening and ordered a small fish and chips for my granddaughter. Unfortunately, the chips looked fine but the fish was much smaller than expected. The batter was not crispy or golden, but rather soggy and soft. The fish inside was also disappointing, as it was not cooked well. The curry sauce was decent, but overall, I was not impressed with the meal. I would not recommend this place.

Don’t usually leave reviews however the cod was dreadful and threw most of it away. Batter was soggy, fish had a horrid texture and all stuck to paper. Sorry lads but you need up your game.

This restaurant is extremely disorganised. I was served by a lady on January 18th, 2024, in the evening around 7pm. I specifically requested Tandoori chicken and some donner meat, but I was given a mixed kebab that tasted bad, like the meat was old. I will not be returning to this restaurant for kebab meat.

Never had to give a bad review for this fish and chip shop before but tonight we ordered online and collected around 5.20 It was really bad, as soon as i opened the chips you could tell they were leftovers from lunchtime There was loads of big chunks of fish batter in the chips and i hate fish and you could taste it in all the chips and there were hardly any whole chips at all just scrag ends, the kebab we ordered had so little chilli sauce on you couldent taste it Also the whole meal was barely warm and we only live 2 minutes away So angry when you support these local businesses and waste your hard earned money Will be trying knowle fish bar next time or Nelsons fish bar
