The restaurant has a mouthwatering scent that hits you as soon as you disembark or wait for the ferry. They offer freshly baked bread, pastries, coffee, and sandwiches.
You don't come across a traditional Finnish bread often, but I was pleased to find one at Upper Crust Bakery. I asked if they could bake me a loaf of poula for my early morning departure, and they happily agreed. I picked up a warm and delicious loaf of bread just in time for the ferry ride back to Port McNeill. The friendly service was much appreciated. Thank you!
The decor in this place is totally eclectic with every table and most chairs different and unique from the next. We arrived late in the afternoon and selection was pretty sparse but what was left was spectacular
Lots of fresh baked-from-scratch products. We enjoyed lemon bars and butter tart squares. Also took home a loaf of freshly baked whole wheat bread. Haven't eaten anything this good since my mother used to bake. Bakery offers delicious breakfasts, sandwiches and light lunches as well as good coffee and desserts.
