Best vegan banitsa and I also liked various vegan dishes I got there for our Christmas dinner. updated by previous review on 2022-10-30
This cafe is really great with numerous vegan choices on the menu. I ordered two different vegan banitzas (my favorite was the mushroom one, but both were delicious). I also picked up an apfelstrudel to enjoy later. The ambiance is lovely for sitting and people-watching.
We thought here for the vegan banitza and lemonade/ice tea at our first day in sofia and really enjoyed it. both the mushrooms and the lenses banitzas were delicious and their hibiscus icestee was fantastic. super beautiful seats in the open. we have seen their big menu and decided to return to lunch the next day and we were not disappointed! they veganized many traditional Bulgarian dishes and everything we had was delicious. the prices were very reasonable (may be a bit expensive for sofia, but we thought it was very reasonable given the quality of food). I would definitely recommend vegetarian / vegan visit sofia!
Eating is in order, their strengths are definitiv the baked. the brot is really brilliant and it is a nice note that they have vegan banitsa. the staff is very nice, but it seems to be a bit above the place. Unfortunately, we were served a pizza with a cheese that really ruined the mood for me. the ambiente is beautiful, but it is quite busy at the weekends. Edit: after I have been here for about 20 times, I can say that eating is still in order, it is such a shame that many of the dishes contain animal products, as I do not appreciate that I need to ask to veganize a dish (what they are happy to do for them at least). I also feel like eating is quite unimaginable and her menu has not really changed in recent years. updated by previous review on 2020 02 29
If they made a few changes, this place would be fantastic. The location and atmosphere are great. They have creative dish ideas and tasty bread. The decor is nice and the staff is friendly. However, they need to serve larger portions as the current ones are too small for the prices. I left feeling hungry. Vegan food naturally has fewer calories, so more should be served. The tempeh curry and rice I ordered had overly oily and firm rice, and the dish consisted of just rice and tempeh. It was not quite up to par. There were only a few pickled veggies on the side. Despite these issues, I would still recommend this restaurant.
