This was our first time to visit Hot Rods. We're from Florida, but we were with friends from the area. We found this as a very friendly 50's-themed diner. Our waitress (the owner) was very helpful in guiding through the menu. We tried the jalapeno hush puppies... they were delicious. Only a touch of heat supplemented by the jalapeno pepper jelly. What Paul McInnis doesn't like about Hot Rod's Diner:
We tried this place for the first time last week. Situated in the same complex as, and directly behind The Blue Willow Inn. Hot Rods is a nicely decorated period diner. I had a foot long dog with everything and my wife got the patty melt. The food is decent, but not remarkable. They have nailed the service and atmosphere. Now, they just need to step up the taste of the food some and they will be a great option. View all feedback.

Hot Rod's is a restaurant with heart. It's a great place to come together and see our local culture. I am not exaggerating when I say that everything I've ever eaten there is fantastic and I believe, made with love. The owners are amazing. The servers are wonderful. I literally feel at home here and can't wait to come back the next time. Because I do frequent Hot Rod's, they know me by name, know what I like to eat, where I like to sit and have my drink ready for me before I even sit down. This place is wonderful and we are BLESSED to have them in our little town.
Our waitress was absolutely adorable and wonderful. Her name was julie.
Great and yet inexpensive place to eat. Note they are only open until like 2 or 3 pm on Saturday. I am never disappointed when going here. The blue plate specials actually come on a blue plate. Fried green beans are awesome!
Enjoyed the 50’s vibe. Great burgers and onion rings. Fried pickles were good, lots of parking.
