Stopped by this restaurant before heading back home to Houston. Tried the meatloaf lunch and OH MY GOODNESS!! This was the BEST meatloaf I have ever tried!!! The Chicken fried steak was also very delicious!! Everything was very delicious. The cornbread was SOOO good!!! The server and owner were super nice the atmosphere was so comfortable! The food was great, not overly seasoned. The banana pudding was awesome, fluffy and airy. Didn't get to try some of the sides I wanted, but really showed up too close to closing, will have to try again another day. The breading on the smothered steak was nice and thin, which I like, rather than the thick over-floured that you would find most places. I recently visited this restaurant for lunch and had a fantastic experience. The meal was reasonably priced, falling between $30 and $50 per person. The food was exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Fried Chicken—it was delicious! The sides of corn and mashed potatoes were also outstanding and complemented the main dish perfectly. The service was equally impressive, also deserving a 5. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was charming and inviting, which also rates a 5 in my book. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for a delightful lunch!
