We visited Parma for a family Christmas dinner just two days after the holiday, and with a party of eight, we found the restaurant almost empty. Unfortunately, the drinks were disappointing; one guest ordered a Dewar's on the rocks and received what appeared to be diluted ginger ale. All the beverages seemed indistinguishable, and we waited quite a while for them to arrive. The parmigiana dishes were so unappetizing that none of the three guests who ordered them wanted to take theirs home, leaving them untouched on the table. One diner even communicated their dissatisfaction to the waitress, but no action was taken, nor were we offered a discount. The appetizers were the only highlight of the evening. We ordered 12 oysters for a dollar each, proudly claimed to be fresh that day. However, after the other appetizers had arrived, we were told that the oysters were now questionable and could not be served. Our waitress was quite inattentive, neglecting to clear our plates or offer drink refills, leaving us surrounded by dirty dishes as we finished our diluted drinks. When the bill came, the oysters were still included. It was a disappointing experience, especially considering we only gather as a family once or twice a year. We spent over $500, including the tip, as we don’t mind paying for quality meals. Parma, we expected better. We had recommended this restaurant and ended up feeling the need to apologize to our group for the experience.
Parma is truly one of the finest Italian restaurants around. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is evident! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Recommended dishes: Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Parmesan
I visited Parma with my mom for Happy Hour on a weekday, and we only ordered drinks. The cocktails were excellent, and the service was outstanding. I enjoyed a delicious $8 Manhattan that was perfectly smooth and well-balanced, while my mom loved a refreshing $6 lemon drop. We also asked the bartender to surprise us with a sweet drink from the menu, and she crafted a wonderful "Nutty Russian" made with equal parts vodka, Frangelico, and Kahlua. It was fantastic—like a stronger espresso martini but without the coffee. Our bartender, Jennifer, was fantastic! Parking was ample even on a moderately busy night.
Parma offers a mixed dining experience, characterized by fluctuating service and food quality. While some patrons praise excellent dishes, warm hospitality, and inviting environments, others report significant disappointments, particularly with menu items and inattentive service. Highlights include impressive appetizers and custom requests being accommodated, but low points such as watered-down drinks and underwhelming main courses are also noted. The quaint atmosphere often creates a lovely dining setting, though it can be marred by issues like long waits and mishandled orders. For a satisfying experience, it appears that careful menu selection and timing are key.

Wonderful food and service. We came too late, not to realize it was right at the end. We offered to go the next day and come back because we are not those who show 5 minutes before closing in. The waitress, however, asked us to stay and tell us not to hurry, she told us that we are well and please take our time to enjoy our meal. We sat at the bar and had the best conversation with the owner during the meal. The next time I get back in town. Make yourself a favor and try the Calamari!
Excellent food, excellent desert, excellent service. My family celebrated my son's birthday in Parma. You even made a special chicken Alfredo for my daughter, it wasn't even a menu item! We will definitely return to try more delicious homestyle Italian cuisine.
My wife and I recently met another couple for dinner. Overall, great service and the food was delicious. California Karl added a nice ambience. Find it!
This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered the fried mozzarella and a chicken parm dinner. I enjoyed the mozzarella, it was nicely cooked and served in sauce. I also enjoyed the chicken. It was a nice piece of meat and also cooked well. I, and this is personal choice, was not a fan of the sauce. It didn't teach out and make me want more. It was OK, just not my style. The young lady that helped me was very friendly, warm, and personable. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 7.8.

Delicious food, great service. We were there for the first time this past week. The special for $19.99 is great ... no skimping on food. Took friends there on Friday. Great time with live music. Highly recommend.
This was our first time here and it did not disappoint!! After being told by a different restaurant that they didn't want to serve our 12 person party (even though we had reservations for 2 months) I called Parma Ristorante and they happily told me theywould take my party! We came after our rehearsal for our wedding this weekend and was greeted by some of the nicest people!Service was fantastic and the food was incredible! Thank you so much to the staff at Parma Ristorante for making our rehearsaldinner so great!
They didn?t even offer the meal as listed in menu-Brought out ?leftover? Potatoes. Salmon was soaked in thick sugary maple syrup (no reduced glaze) Frozen green beans (still cold inside) When asked why-he said -oh no something wrong withthat? Terrible meal.
I love the vibe here. The girls/ staff are so sweet. I love the half off wine and app specials. The food is good but I wish they had a bigger menu. If you plan on going on Friday or Sat go early or make reservations because they have localsingers/entertainment and it gets completely packed.

I’m truly sorry to hear that you’re closing. I’ll be checking out Frankie's International Bistro in Plainville.
I visited Parma during the weekday Happy Hour with my mom just for drinks. The drinks and service were excellent. I had an $8 Manhattan that was perfectly balanced and smooth. My mom enjoyed a $6 lemon drop, which was also fantastic (not pictured). We then stepped off the menu and asked the bartender to make us a sweet drink to share. I had found a recipe online for a Nutty Russian, made with equal parts vodka, Frangelico, and Kahlua. It was incredible—like a stronger espresso martini without the coffee. We were only charged $10. Jennifer was our bartender that night, and she was amazing!
I visited Parma on a Monday evening and took advantage of their early bird special, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The food arrived hot, was delicious, and beautifully presented. Everyone loved their meals. Our waiter, Wes, was attentive but never overbearing. The price was excellent at $19.99 for a salad, main course, and two dessert choices. They also accommodated a gluten allergy without any issues.
