It's only when you move away from Rhode Island that you start to miss the everyday Italian that we all took for granted. Parente's is that simple, welcoming restaurant and bar which serves hearty, generous portions of Italian-American standards their veal parm is huge and delicous, and their twin lobster specials are a real bargain. Don't expect gourmet touches but the star attractions are the appetizers and the entrees, all prepared in-house. The bar area can get a bit boisterous with sports fans hooting and hollering while watching their teams play, but the dining room is quite separate and suitable for families.

The staff is super cool and remembers you and makes you feel that you're regular even if you're here every few months. Great place.
