What a great little find on a country road after dinner at a nearby Seafood restaurant (an equally great find). While headed back to Crestwood from dinner I noticed this Jericho Farmhouse, Ice Cream sign so I made a quick turnaround to stop in for a look and a little ice cream! I ordered a very good sized 2 scoops of Salted Caramel and Coffee, my wife tried the Banana Pudding and Coffee. We both agreed that every scoop was very good, the Coffee had a very bold and creamy flavor, the Salted Caramel had a good Caramel flavor and it was not too sweet like some Caramel ice cream can be! The store selections range from t-shirts and hoodies to Honey, Dips, Sauces and Spreads as well as a freezer full of Pre Packed ice creams, varietal cuts of beef, pork and lamb too. These types of stores are becoming more and more rare and this one is a gem, very clean, welcoming with very friendly service!

Best ice cream ever! I highly recommend this to anyone passing through or looking for a nice establishment.

Once it was around 4 PM, I told him it was time for ice cream, so we headed into the building. We needed to wash our hands before eating, so we went into the bathroom, only to find dried urine all over the toilet, although the trash bin was empty. It was disgusting. My grandson needed to use the restroom, so I had to clean the toilet before he could use it. Considering they’re closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, you would think they would take the time to clean up during those days, especially since someone had taken out the trash! After washing our hands, we went for ice cream. Their prices are comparable to places like Graeter’s or Comfy Cow, but the servings were half the size and the taste was lackluster. I give one star to the sweet girl who served us! I saw plenty of five-star reviews mentioning the kids’ play area, but honestly, your child is more likely to get tetanus from the playground than to enjoy it—everything is broken and rusty! I even talked to another mom who had visited before, and she confirmed that it has always looked this way. Why would they maintain a kids’ play area filled with broken, rusty toys? Now, about the ice cream, which is why this place is popular. I tried four flavors and settled on one that at least tasted somewhat like what it was supposed to be. The salted caramel had almost no flavor, and the coconut one was similarly bland. The birthday cake flavor was just okay. The chocolate ice cream with brownie was decent, so I went with that, while my grandson liked the look of the birthday cake and the Oreo-flavored ice cream. I was seriously let down, but I had promised him ice cream, so I ended up buying three scoops for us. While the server was scooping, I noticed mold on the rubber part of the lid as she tilted it. I should have just walked away, but I didn’t want to disappoint my grandson, so I convinced myself it would be fine. Unfortunately, I ended up with a stomach ache an hour later, and I'm usually pretty tough with food! I didn’t eat anything else that night, so it had to be the ice cream that caused it. I’m not sure how my grandson fared because I dropped him off for dinner, a bath, and bed since he was worn out from the day. He also expressed disappointment over the playground and asked why everything was broken.

This restaurant is a genuine farm-to-table establishment. It's family-owned and operated right on their family homestead. They promote local farmers by selling their products, which adds to the community spirit. The ice cream is made on the premises, and they even have an ice cream truck available for local events. Conveniently located near I-71, exit 28.
