Dave's Fresh Marketplace/smithfield Crossing

I do enjoy going to Dave?s because they have fresh produce, a variety of good brands, and hot prepared foods which are nice on a night you don?t feel like cooking). Continuing on with their prepared foods, I thoroughly enjoy their sushi the women thatwork the sushi stand are always so pleasant. There is a gentleman that works behind the fish counter who is also very nice informative). I must say most encounters with the staff are good in general. However, I have had some not so great experienceswith other employees a couple of times at the deli at the pizza counter). It was almost like I was bothering them by havingthem work, I guess? Overall, it?s a well stocked, organized and clean store with quality products. They are on the pricier sideso, I typically don?t prefer to do my full shopping here. I also have to add that aside from being pricey, the last few timesI?ve purchased their fresh fish, it tasted like it was completely soaked in chemicals even after washing) which is a big no nofor me!

Went in for the so-called FRESH turkey only to find that what is in the cooler marked ?fresh ? are THAWING TURKEYS!!! At $3/lb! Costco has real fresh, never frozen, at .99/lb. A bit of a drive to Dedham, but worth it. Seriously disappointed by the falseadvertising.

I visited the restaurant today, the day before Thanksgiving, to pick up a few items with my mom. We were trying to navigate through the store with two shopping carts when a man in our way refused to move. My mom said, "Watch your toes," as we maneuvered around him. He looked up, rolled his eyes, and then used a profanity starting with "F" directed at the woman next to him, referring to us. I was shocked to discover that he worked there! I understand that Thanksgiving can stress people out, but that kind of behavior from an employee is completely unacceptable.

You can enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee while you shop. The produce and deli sections are excellent, and the quality of the meats is generally very good as well. The store is kept clean. It can get busy at times, but it's always worth the visit.

This is a tidy and well-stocked supermarket that also offers a fantastic lunch buffet. There is seating available both indoors and outdoors.
