The Thanksgiving meal itself was a bit disappointing with its cold-cut-like turkey breast, but it was saved by a generous serving of delicious, uniquely salty Smithfield ham.

To add to that, our salad had three lettuce cores in it. Yes, three! Even our replacement salad still had one in it. The manager refused to address our concerns and did not come to our table. Needless to say, we will not be returning. On the plus side, our waitress was friendly and attentive.

I felt like an outsider in someone else's space (yes, I know I sound older saying that). The stares were intense, and it felt like some people were judging me more than others. Yes, I’m Black, yes, I have a disability, and yes, I’m going to find a place at the table whether you like it or not because I’m hungry! LOL!
