It's a nice place with good food, but they do not keep coffee made... This the 3rd time in a row now... It's 530 pm on a Saturday, it's chilly and raining... Hot coffee is appreciated on days like this. At least offer to make a pot since you still have hours left until closing.... I would understand the empty pots if it's close to closing time...
First, they always claim it will take ten to fifteen minutes, but I ended up waiting thirty. My hotel is just across the street, and I would appreciate a more accurate wait time. After the usual ordeal of dealing with the unfriendly employees at checkout, I hurried back so Richard could eat before heading to work. We had ordered a Hot Ham and Cheese, a Club, and a Chicken Strip sandwich. In the pictures I took, you can see that the Hot Ham and Cheese had no ham at all; it was just greasy toast with mayo and cheese. Previously, it at least came on a bun and actually contained ham. I quickly opened my Club sandwich to check for ham, and all I found was bacon, cheese, lettuce, mayo, and a slice of tomato that still had the produce sticker attached. To me, that indicates the tomato wasn't washed—I can't help but feel grossed out by that! Richard went inside to address the hamless sandwich and returned with a small, fatty piece of ham hidden beneath one of the slices of bread. Yuck! Between that and the sticker on my tomato, I was really turned off. The cook's excuse was that he simply "forgot" to put ham on the Ham and Cheese sandwich. Honestly, this might just be the perfect time for me to go home for Easter, bring some cooking equipment to the hotel, and tell Sumac to take a hike. If you ever find yourself stuck in Smackover or El Dorado, I highly recommend you bring your own food!
All new store with Krispy Krunchy chicken. Food was ok. I knocked a bit off because they charge extra for dipping sauce for the tenders.
I really wish the hot box food was fresher! I often come in around 6 PM, and the food is usually stale. Today, I ordered some tenders, and they were old and dry. The other day, I called in an order at about 5:50 and requested for a burger to be ready by 6:50. It seems like they cooked it right then because both the fries and the burger were cold when I arrived at 6:50. It was quite disappointing.
