I must not get out very much in the back roads of New York, so when we came here I was a little astounded. My mother thought at first that we 'd been here before, but I don 't recollect being here before, and definitely not when this was a Hess gas station. I needed to use the restroom (and so did my mother and when we spotted this, it definitely was a place we knew we could stop to take care of business . Although the restrooms were clean, the pathway leading to it was full of their cleaning bucket and mop and ended up diverting around it. Annoying, but I 'll live with my decision. It was a gas station so what would you expect? Having had IBS and having had one of my triggers for stomach problems earlier in the day when I got here, I knew I had to bear these small annoyances. When I got done, I ended up wanting to check my points at the kiosk for my Speedy Rewards account and although my brother said it worked well for him, when I tried using my actual card, it just didn 't want to scan. He had used his Passbook pass and didn 't have issues but then again, I 've always had issues with kiosks at Speedways in general and chose to make the attempt here. Just before leaving, I got noticed. I don 't know if the employee was saying for me to have a good day or the customer at the register, but I mumbled thanks (in the tone/manner of thanks for noticing me and left.
