We got the prawn pil pil, sweet potato and Monchega in batter, crab meat, pork in shawmarma sauce, which had a kick of it and potatas bravas. All very nice and great selection and decent portions. We had the 2 desserts the churros, icecream and chocolate sauce and the lemon dessert. Both fabulous and washed down by some beautiful Pinot Grigio. We got a nice corner table which was nice. Great service and very prompt.

Today wa... read more Today myself and my family visited Knox for some lunch. We have enjoyed coming here for years for lunch and dinner and never have had a bad experience. Today was a different story unfortunately. I am 8 months pregnant and I asked our waiter if he could tell me what the house salad was today as it is not written on the menu. He then asked me to get up and read what was written on the special board myself which was situated the other side of the restaurant) Myself and my partner were in shock at this request that we honestly laughed in disbelief. Things then went from bad to worse as I waited over 20 minutes for the salad to be served, meaning I was left watching everyone at the table finish their meals without receiving mine. I would assume this review won't come as a shock to you as you can read previous bad reviews regarding the staff etiquette. Suggestion for management to take some time out to up skill and train the team on how to serve customers.

This is the best meal we’ve had since we arrived in Ireland a week ago! The food was heavenly, well presented and ticked all the right boxes. My husband and I like our food and we’re super critical when eating out. Knox is a little gem, absolutely cracking! The staff were so accommodating, we were running late after travelling and they happily changed our reservation! They were really friendly and helpful. Wish we’d booked it for our entire stay! Keep doing whatever you’re doing! We visited another restaurant along the river tonight, extremely over priced and old fashioned Eala something or other! Knox wins hands down!!

I have had lunch here many times and always had a positive experience, but I was truly blown away by the tapas. The staff were excellent at recommending dishes and had great banter with us. It has been a long time since I had such delicious food. I would recommend Knox to anyone looking for a fantastic evening out. Additionally, the prices were extremely reasonable for the amount of food we had.
