Was Anonym at Happy Eater a mag?
To be honest, if you're passing through Sligo, you shouldn't miss stopping at Happy Eater. Whether you're just passing through or living nearby, it's a must-visit. We stopped by looking for some food and enjoyed the best homemade chips, a delicious bark burger, homemade chicken tartlets, and the best garlic sauce I've ever had. The curry sauce was fantastic too. The atmosphere in the restaurant is friendly and welcom... View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Happy Eater:
very disappointed! €4 for a big bag of unsold chips that were actually very small, but what is even worse is that they were from a Lidl bag and not proper chipper chips. View all feedback.

Nicest takeaway in town, get there chicken wings every weekend and there class

Customer service was appalling. The girl on duty never acknowledged us, and the man barely did either. She seemed more interested in her phone than the customers. To make matters worse, they even started to argue. We were not offered napkins, and the salt and vinegar were available on the counter for self-service, which felt rather neglectful. I needed more salt and ended up going to a nearby place where the staff were more than willing to assist; I really didn’t want to return to the Happyeater. Overall, the atmosphere was very unwelcoming, making customers feel like a burden rather than valued guests. I won’t be returning. I understand this is a takeaway and not a fine dining restaurant, but compared to the service I’ve experienced elsewhere—even in larger cities—there was a clear lack of respect for customers and the food was mediocre at best.

The beef was incredibly delicious, and the quarter-pound burger was just five euros. I also enjoyed a large plate of fresh cod with chips and coleslaw for €10.50. The restaurant stays open late, even after 10 PM, when most other places have closed. The atmosphere was friendly with plenty of locals dining in.
