The beach is stunning, featuring some rocky areas. I was pleasantly surprised to find a specially designed crutch holder attached to one of the rocks for my convenience. Just be mindful of the tides, as it’s possible to get cut off if you're not careful.
Rosses Point Beach is stunning, offering picturesque views of the Benbulben and Knocknarea mountains. It's a safe spot for swimming, and the rock pools provide entertainment for kids to explore. The area features a campsite, a yacht club, a golf club, a hotel, bars, restaurants, and a small local shop. On sunny days, you can often find an ice cream cart and a coffee stand in the beach parking lot. However, there is a noticeable lack of readiness from visitors to take their garbage home.
The tide was low, the sand felt warm, and the ocean was delightful. It's a fantastic beach for children to explore the tidal pools, and the swimming is enjoyable without needing to venture too far. The sandy stretch seems to go on forever. Finding parking can be tricky, and some drivers get quite creative when it comes to parking their cars. I noticed a variety of dishes available from the ice cream coffee van parked on-site. My friends stayed at the nearby campsite and said it was excellent.
So a beautiful beach to go, not crowded many seats sit and relax and beautiful area for food too.
