High Steaks Restaurant - Slacks Creek

Our group meets at this restaurant every Tuesday for Trivia night. Personally, I have stopped ordering food here as the quality is not up to par, but my colleagues still do. However, even just ordering a bowl of chips has become a hassle. The first bowl we received one week was served cold and soggy, clearly left in the hot box for too long. We returned them only to be given undercooked chips that were cold in the middle. It seemed like the kitchen just wanted to clean up and get out. The next time we ordered chips, there was a lack of communication between the bar and kitchen, and even our senior fish and chips order was incorrect. It's disappointing how difficult it is to get a simple bowl of chips right. If they are not up to standard, they should not be served to the customers. Customers deserve to be served the best quality food.

This is the third time in the past year or two that I have been the last one in my group to receive my meal at this restaurant. Despite complaining about the delay after the other meals were delivered, my meal didn't arrive until about 20 minutes later with a refund. Unfortunately, when it finally did come, the meal was not satisfactory and I returned it along with my membership card. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant again.

A great relaxed place for Father's Day with a warm and cold buffet for 1 hour and a half, fresh fruit and hot bacon, wide choice.

We attended my cousin's 40th birthday party in the Function Room downstairs. The room was a good size with a spacious dance floor. It had a 1920's theme with lovely decorations such as gold and silver balloons on the tables and walls. There were nice touches like a red carpet at the entrance. The bar was well-stocked with friendly staff and a decent selection of drinks. The food served was typical party fare like sausage rolls and other snacks on plates. The music system was good, and everyone enjoyed dancing to classics like the Nutbush. The team did a great job creating a fun and lively atmosphere. I would definitely recommend hosting a function here.

What a find! A fantastic place to take the kids as the ladies in the kids club are amazing. Great new menu with loads of vegetarian options and everything is very well priced. The pizzas were really delicious and my daughters loved the food in...the kids menu.
