The Hotel itself is very central, staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room that we stayed at was not particularly spacious, however, it was enough. We payed for a balcony and it was a good addition. The design is very quirky, takes you away from the common modern architecture and design that dominates the market at the moment. The only thing is it does not have a lift, so I would advise to pack lightly and just stuff your luggage with goodies from Sitges as it is easier to bring a heavy luggage down than up the stairs! Breakfast was also good, adequate food choices for the 6 days that we stayed there.

I've known the Romantic for more than 20 years, as both a guest and a bar user. It's always been nicely quirky clearly (now I'm being indulgently nostalgic) it's heyday was when Goncal presided over everything and the bar was full every evening. But, of course, things change and Sitges evenings have changed. Been to the bar a few times in last two months cannot fault the servers, though being old and nostalgic I miss a few old faces behind the bar. No, my only complaint: why have the new owners put wholly inappropriate plastic furniture into this classic space? Really.

No idea what the rooms are like now but previously they where very basic. The garden is great for early evening drinks but beware of the mosquitos due to the lush gardens
