What Manfredi D'amico doesn't like about Agriturismo Fattoria La Mottava:
Mottava isn't far from where we have a Summer house, so we usually pop in when we can't be bothered with touristy Syracuse. The pizzas are fine, as are the other meals on offer, but it's not the best. During the Summer the restaurant is...busy, and there could be the odd wedding reception or party out on the lawn. My advice is go early, as after 9pm you will have to wait for a table. Outside of Summer (July August) y... View all feedback.

We visited “La Mottava” on recommendation from cristina, the owner of the agriturismo in which we lived. as it was the day of our arrival, we didn't want to eat far so that this place was perfect as it was just a few minutes away. as soon as they drive up the private road leading to the restaurant, as it is located on a slope, they are greeted by a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape. we got a table in the veranda and presented the menu that was quite normal, but what was most interested me was the “Pizzolo al carne di cavallo”, as I had never seen on a menu. we were a table of five and ordered the “pizzolo” (obvious), 2 pizzas, a mixed grill and grilled bark. everything was very decent, but the “pizzolo” should die! the tenderness of the flesh, the clobular pieces of bevel, the cheese and the amazing crust made this article so special. I would recommend this place to everyone, as it is worth trying the “pizzolo” too! when we finished our eating, our daughter, who had her birthday on the day, was surprised by a home made birthday cake, which I must say, was also delicious. it was full of fresh strawberries, sponge and an amazing fluffy light cream. divine! we finished the evening with a few grappas and coffee. another pleasant surprise was the bill; for all above mentioned items (including cake) a bottle prosecco, 3 bottle water and 2 fruit juices, we paid €90!
