Perkins pies for Christmas. Delicious. Easy ordering. I'm not typically a pie eater so I asked if the apple caramel pie should be refrigerated. I was told yes, I can. I noticed some hesitation in her voice so I called the West 41st Street location and they told me not to as the top would soften and get soggy. Glad I called the other location : . View all feedback.
What Christopher H doesn't like about Perkins Restaurant:
Ordered delivery of chicken strip appetizer and side of fries. Fries were ice cold, only HALF cooked, and quite small portion. Got five of the smallest chicken strips I 've ever seen, and no honey mustard; which it comes with. The chicken tasted awful! Tasted like it had been fried in oil that was only used to fry fish for the last week. Was absolute garbage. Would have complained, but seeing as it took 90 minutes to... View all feedback.
Best Eggs Benedict I've had in a long time. Good service even though the restaurant was pretty busy.
My wife and I have been regular and valued customers at this location for YEARS. Unfortunately today was the last time we will ever eat at this location. Hospitality has been declining for quite some time and while all of the old hostesses know us well the new staff does not and treats us like we are a bother somehow... Today we entered and sat on the bench to await seating for two. The hostess looks right past us and offers to seat a party of 5 who came in behind us. We have to speak up to let them know we are sitting there waiting. After being seated the service was horribly slow. The two tables in front and behind us arrived after us yet both tables got their food first... Right about the time we were going to leave the food arrives. My wife found a black hair in her omelette half way through and after attempting to wave down a waiter for a solid 5 minutes she is forced to take the food back to the kitchen herself. We refused a re order due to the experience at that point. The waiter comes to the table with the bills states they removed item from the bill but offers absolutely no hint of an apology. That is simply UNACCEPTABLE hospitality at a restaurant. Still unhappy I take the ticket to the counter with a note about our service written on it. I tell her I'd like the message passed to the manager. Due to her complete lack of acknowledgment I ask to speak to a manager myself. The girl at the front states she is too busy and I have to call back tomorrow morning. She was very uncaring and also unapologetic. It's easy to see the problem is at the source of their hospitality training. So instead of taking care of their customers personally and at the point of the problem I am now pushed to leave an online review for all to see. Management should know they just lost one of their long time regulars.
Food was great as well as the service. It was so jam packed that a person could hardly walk between the tables.

This was the most terrible service I have ever received from a restaurant. We were seated during a rush which I understand when short staffed can mean a little wait time. However, after 15 minutes we had to flag down one of the 4 waitresses working the room to ask for service. She didn't even bother to just take the order, buy abandon the dining room with a quick I will find your server. Once the server finally arrived she was unapologetic and simply stated I wait on each customer as they arrive, we quickly explained how that was not the case and moved on to ordering. She assured us we would be moved to the front of the order line 30 minutes later our food arrived. It was as delicious as expected with the Perkins consistency in recipe. But perhaps the icing on the cake the sever stood behind our table and openly complained to another patron about how we were impatient bashing our expectation for being served in. Timley fashion and continued on how everybody needs to give servers slack they are short staffed. Mind you this patron was seated after us and not only received his food before we ordered but completed his meal before ours arrived. Foortunatley for her he steoked her bruised ego.Once we finally made it to the front to pay our bill the host asked if our meal was okay. It was explained that it was not. He looked confused and said okay. This was Terrible service all around. I would never attend this establishment again.
