This hidden gem is one of my favorites. It's easy to overlook while driving by, but the atmosphere inside is super friendly. Whenever my family and I visit, the staff creates such a warm and positive environment! The portion sizes are generous, delicious, and affordably priced. The chicken tacos are absolutely amazing, and the churros are ten times better than those at Taco John's, especially the filled ones. This pl... View all feedback.
What Benjamin Hansen doesn't like about Abelardo's Mexican Food:
The food is delicious, however the consistency of ordering isnt there. Sometimes you get sauce, sometimes you get a charred jalapeno, sometimes you get lime, you NEVER get radishes even though they are in the picture. The tacos are pretty dry without those things. View all feedback.
The best thing asada gives off from the south. we have tried many restaurants in the city and this is by far our favorite Mexican go. the amount that comes with the super nachos could feed three people. great prices and aromen. gilberto was ours, but now it's this place.
Delicious food and great service!! We went late at 12:30am- under 20$ for 3 of us!
Bland. Average. Was hopeful would be more flavorful, even the rice and beans lacked flavor. We lived in California and Vegas for decades and seek out great Mexican food. This could have been great, but is only OK
I've given this place 2 chances and it was terrible both times. The first time I could barely even eat my food because the paper my burrito was wrapped in stuck to the outside. It was so saturated with grease that I had to peel it off in tiny pieces. That evening I had what I can only describe as explosive bowel issues. Several months later I gave it another shot and figured that nachos were a safer bet. How wrong I was. The chicken appeared to be made in a big roasting pan, which is not unusual. What is unusual is that the chicken seemed to be COMPLETELY unseasoned as well as undrained. So aside from having absolutely no flavor, my tortilla chips were waterlogged by the time I got my food. To add insult to injury, the shredded cheese that was sprinkled on top wasn't melted and was still cold. If you want real Mexican food in Sioux Falls, spend the money and go to Azteca.
