The people are friendly and nice (and they speak English if you need to , the prices are good (we ate more than enough for approx. 40€ for 2 with wine, service and starters included and the food was tasty! We got an all-you-can-eat service based on meat on the stone, and the meat was perfectly seasoned, the side dishes awesome (special mention for the home made coleslaw: the best I ever ate! , and the starters were delicious! If you are hungry, go there!

Calling in at lunchtime to book for the evening we had a friendly and helpful welcome.When we returned for the meal a long table was set up for us by the window and we had a good meal there, so much so that when we wanted to go out again for our last night together it was unanimous that we return there. We were made even more welcome this time and our son in law arranged for my husband and me to have a joint birthday cake all arranged at the last minute in spite of a bigger family group of 20 celebrating two birthdays at the same time. We all have very fond memories of this place.

If you want to try traditional Portuguese food, I recommend this place. The premises need to be renovated, when compared to competitors in the surroundings. My complaint is the time you have to wait to get what you ordered. In my case, 45 minutes. This is completely unacceptable and told it to one of the managers. As a reply, the other manager said this is not a fast food restaurant. I don't appreciate bad education and didn't want discussions on my birthday, so I shut up. But it is a shame that after visiting more than 30 countries I had to find a place 30kms away from home to wait 45 minutes to be served and, worst, be criticized for telling the truth and having children with me. Portugal in its worst. Please don't go here if you are hungry. Staff in the kitchen need to be reinforced.

Both were cooked to perfection, nicely... read more The restaurant is very nice and the food is excellent. I had a small grilled seabass and my husband had grilled octopus. Both were cooked to perfection, nicely seasoned and accompanied by boiled vegetables. The service was also excellent, the staff very polite, helpful, friendly and pleasant!
