I stumbled upon this old stop of mine from back in the day in order to warm up from an unplanned polar plunge at Blue Marsh Lake. I had 2 Allagash Whites and enjoyed some great conversations from the patrons. Chris was my bar keep and was great! Iended up staying longer than planned and enjoyed the Bangers and Mash. If you haven?t been here before check it out. It is agreat place near some awesome trails at Blue Marsh State park. Cheers!
I found Ganly's on a whim while traveling the back roads on our way to somewhere in Reading, PA and man am I happy I did! We stopped in for dinner and I immediately fell in love with the restaurant. As soon as you walk in it feels like an Irish pub (oneof my favorite stops to make when it comes to food)! For dinner, I order the pumpkin pie martini. Creamy and flavorful theperfect drink to enjoy in the fall. And for dinner, I ordered the Ganly's Rueben. It was packed with corned beef! I wish I couldremember the name of the other cocktail I ordered . . . maybe a pomegranate smash? Despite not remembering the name, it was alsodelicious and I would order it again. Ganly's was an awesome stop and I will be back again, soon! Follow @centralpafoodie onInstagram for more PA food reviews pictures!
The restaurant is in a beautiful neighborhood and was decently busy on a Friday evening. I had the vegan shepards pie, it was delicious. My husband had the vegan burger with sweet potato fries which he also loved. My brother had an Angus burger which healso loved. Our server was exceptional and it was overall a great experience. You can tell it's a local hangout but we stillfelt comfortable.
Very nice place to eat dinner. The service was polite and prompt. Ate on the outside patio. The food was very good. A little expensive, but worth it
