This old school western food stall located in AMK Central Market, has been around for years. They sell affordable old fashioned western food like chicken cutlet, fish chips, mixed grill with sides baked beans, fries and salad. Their mains are served in generous huge portion, covering almost half the size of the plate, which you can see from the pictures. Fried with a crispy outer layer, the meat within is thick and filling too. It brings back wonderful childhood memories of myself, eating plates of oversized chicken cutlet with same cheap side dishes like canned beans and coleslaw. Their food is wallet friendly and definitely worth the try.
We visited on a Saturday around 7 PM and encountered a brief but steady line. The ordering process was quick, and the wait time was reasonable. We got the Hot Plate Combo Grill, which includes beef, pork, chicken, bacon, sausage, coleslaw, egg, and fries. The fries and pork were quite tasty, while the rest of the items were fairly average. However, at just $10, it's hard to find anything to gripe about.
I finally decided to join the long queue for this place, and I have to say, it was worth it! The wait was long, but the system is efficient, and I received my food in no time. The friendly lady who took my order was very organized. I ordered pork chops and a chicken cutlet for my daughter. The pork chop meat is a bit thin, but I found it to be just enough for us. My daughter said it was delicious and couldn't finish hers. With the chicken chop priced at 6 SGD and the pork chop at 6.50 SGD, the portions are quite generous. I highly recommend it!
The food at this hawker stall is better than average for Western cuisine. The portion sizes are definitely worth the price. Plus, using Shopee Pay gives you an even bigger discount! Update on 08/05: This stall tastes significantly better than the one at the S-11 food court, which used to be quite popular until its quality declined.
Chicken cutlet $6, was tender and juicy. Well fried with a crispy crust. Sides were standard western fare.
