The Old Straits Cafe - Singapore

The food at this restaurant is delicious. The satay is tasty, the sauce is fantastic, and the fish and chips are excellent. The chicken chop is cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for families.

The Hokkien Mee priced at $8 is very tasty. I would recommend it. The only downside is that the squid was not fresh. However, I still give it a 5-star rating.

This was our first visit to The Old Straits Cafe and we were pleasantly surprised by the food. We ordered 2 fish and chips, 1 satay combo, and 1 chicken chop. The presentation of the food was impressive, and the taste exceeded our expectations. The fish and chips were incredibly crispy and juicy, with the crispiness lasting for over 2 hours. This was a stark contrast to the fish and chips we had at Hangar 66, which couldn't maintain their crispiness for even half an hour. The fish and chips at The Old Straits Cafe were outstanding, with a generous portion size. The satay sauce was delicious, and the satay itself was flavorful, juicy, and tender. The chicken chop was well marinated, and each bite was packed with tenderness. Even the french fries were crispy. The prices for the main courses were reasonable, and the overall experience was excellent, with a cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and great value for money. We highly recommend The Old Straits Cafe and will definitely be returning.

Came here to celebrate friend's birthday. The main reason is that the beer is cheap here: 1 tower for $28, 2 for $50 and 3 for $88. Basically they will still calculate the best promo price in the final bill as we order more towers, so no stress to order more and afraid we cannot finish. The food are reasonably priced, taste quite good and portion is large too.

Ordered the father’s day set. Every dish is absolutely delicious especially the lala and scallop! The stingray was good and juicy too. Will reorder again next time. My husband enjoy the food alot. Thank you Old Straits Cafe! Only regret is I Forgotten to take a photo of all the food!
