Tried Catalonian food for the first time at Gaig and it was outstanding. My photos really don't do them justice, but the cold tomato soup with jamon ice cream and fideua with carabinero prawns were excellent. I especially loved the fideua. We also tried the stuffed pigeon, cannelloni, txangurro, crispy bread, and Catalonian creme brulee. They were all fantastic. The sangrias were also really delicious (both red and w... I just came back from barcelona, and eating here is as close as possible. recommend to traditional cannelloni and roasted octopus for authentic Catalan foods. her beef wellington(is one of the best I ever had steak was very good with buttery puff baked around the juicy protein cooked), and all on the dessert menu; cream brulee, orange ice cream souffle and Pear-Infused wine were a good round to a delicious meal. there were surprise factors for the cream broth and souffle, I will leave it to them to try and experience it for themselves.
Gaig singapore is fucked in a small local loading house on the stanley road. amazing tapas that really bring the best of Spanish ingredients. crystalbrot was so good I can easily order a serve everything from myself. the wein is cheap. the most important courses were very well done and dessert was great. the service was top notched!
The Catalan food was first tried in gaig and it was excellent. my photos make them really not fair, but the cold tomato soup with jamon ice and fideua with carabinero garnels were excellent. I loved the fideua especially. we also tried the filled deaf, cannelloni, txangurro, crispy brot and Catalan cream brulee. they were all fantastic. the sangrias were also really delicious (both red and white). besides eating, the service and the hire were also excellent, secret and unpredictable. this will be one of our gateways for a special occasion.
The second time we came here with my husband to eat in his break. nice cozy restaurant to come together and a bit slow down. literally, because we didn't have any data on our phone. I think it's a plus, but for busy businessmen, it might be a little bit. Eating is great and a good choice is the executive lunch menu. worth money, but I wouldn't choose the crema catalan next time. the part is huge, tasty, but not great to have so much sugar in the middle of the day. I think the portion should be smaller. that was the first one that came to me in the senses when I saw it, and I didn't change my mind by eating it. it was just too much. another suggestion would be to change the servier plate of the crocette, as it was so strangely banged around the blue plate.
We thoroughly enjoyed the classic cannelloni filled with pork and truffle sauce (priced at $16.50), particularly the flavorful sauce. The bark wellington dish (priced at $52) was also a standout, with a delicate and tasty liqueur giving it a unique twist. However, there were two noticeable bones in the cod dish, and the fries were a bit lacking in texture. This was the only downside to an otherwise great meal.
