One of the place you must visit, when you ain't looking for expensive restaurant in Orchard. The last time I tried their salted egg pork was 5-6 years ago. Wanted to go back to satisfy my cravings and to see if their standard is as good. MUST-HAVES 1. Salted Egg Pork Rib- Very good portion served, pork ribs is tender and infused with creamy salted sauce. Super satisfying! 2. Hot plate beancurd- Was served piping hot... View all feedback.
This place is full of nostalgia! It's definitely pricier than I remember, but still a great value in the Orchard area. I arrived at 5 a.m. which turned out to be a smart move because last time we tried to order the salted egg pork ribs, there was a 30-minute wait at 6:30 a.m. on a Saturday. I highly recommend the dish, just be sure to choose a suitable drink as it can be a bit constipating towards the end.
I recently tried the fish fillet hor fun and trio roasted rice at this restaurant and both dishes were incredibly delicious! I definitely plan on coming back to try more dishes in the future. The service was also very quick and efficient.
Must try article: Salted Egg Pork Ribs, Bitter Gourd Fish Soup, Chicken Claypot Rice. Gravy for the salted egg shell is generous, soup is secret and balances the other hearty dishes. Claypot rice has a beautiful Wokhey taste.
Hidden jewel in Orchard. This may be laughing, but my friends and I actually travel to Orchard, just to have this, there are thousands of food options. Get the salted egg pig if it's your first time. I also like the marmite chicken, the butter prawns and the beef fried rice. They also have the clamps lime ginger onion and sweet and sour.
Salted egg fish skin is in my opinion best eaten fresh in the shop. Not recommended for take away. Salted egg pork is nicely packed with sauce separated. They gave us a a new chilli sample, it’s delicious with rice.
