Havent eaten this for ages! Came back after so many years and it still tastes pretty much the same. Was expecting a long queue for Sunday lunch but there was literally no one! However they were still very busy cooking for the delivery orders. Ordered and didn't wait long to be served. Still enjoyed the wetness and nice wok hei of the hokkien mee. 1st time ordering the oyster omelette, not really a fan but still enjoy... View all feedback.
Tasty plate of Hokkien mee but portion quite small. The satay is just next stall. Meat very tender. Nicely grilled. If you are driving then parking is quite a challenge.

Still enjoyed the wetness and nice wok hei of the hokkien mee. 1st time ordering the oyster omelette, not really a fan but still enjoyed it a lot. Its very good that the plate was left on the table for 30 minutes during the meal and it was always crispy till the last bite. Oysters were fat and juicy! My friend suggested ordering the pork belly satay which was also very delicious. Sauce would definitely be better with pineapple! Enjoyable and will be back again!
Price is definitely high here, but I felt the food were really great in terms of taste. wash it down with London IPA. go for their $10 hokkiem mee, or u can order the $15 to share with a friend.
Got here on a weekday just before lunch crowd started pouring in at noon. Hokkien noodle has decent wok hey and is the 'wet type '. Fried oyster on the other hand is at best 'Average 3/5 Stars ', if only it had the same charcoal treatment as with the Hokkien noodle, would have been so much better!
While this place is decent, it doesn't quite compare to the original Geylang Lorong 29 Hokkien Mee. They offer a range of dishes, including Hokkien Mee and fried oyster omelette. We ordered the Hokkien Mee and Fried Oysters, both priced at $10 each (see the photos for size reference). The dish came with six large oysters, which was satisfying enough. The fried oysters skew more towards a wetter texture rather than crispy. The Hokkien Mee is flavorful and enjoyable, but I still prefer the version at Lorong 29. The chili sauce here isn't as impressive either. Overall, both dishes are substantial enough for two people to share.
