Dumpukht - Singapore
Dumpukht
Description
Set on Boat Quay with sweeping riverside views, this Indian restaurant pairs authentic Punjabi flavors with a romantic, lively atmosphere. Standout dishes include dal makhani, buttery naans, mutton, prawns, kebabs and paneer specialties; mango lassi and group-friendly bottle deals add appeal. Service is friendly and efficient, though prices run high—discounts and vouchers help. Occasional misses (e.g., a lackluster mushroom tikka) and gentle upselling aside, it’s a top choice for date nights, family dinners and waterside gatherings in Singapore.

This lovely riverside restaurant offers a stunning view. The service is pleasant, and while the food is decent, I've had better meals elsewhere for the same price. I ordered biryani, chicken butter masala, and matar paneer, along with a beer. Overall, it was a good experience, but I expected a bit more.
If you're seeking the closest experience to authentic Punjabi cuisine in Singapore, this is the restaurant you should visit. The ambiance is excellent, especially if you sit by the riverside. It’s perfect for a romantic dinner or a gathering with family and friends. The mutton and prawn dishes are outstanding. Don’t forget to try the mango lassi to complement your meal!
This is the best choice for Indian cuisine! The Dal Makhani was the highlight of my meal—truly exceptional. The restaurant is conveniently located near River Valley Bay. As a lovely touch, they serve five papads with mint chutney to start.
Happy overall with the service and food quality. Usually I would not go to Boat Quay for food but for the view by the restaurant but I will say the food here is as good as any Indian restaurant in Little India. I’d recommend the garlic naan, achari fish, chicken tikka kassala. Skip the mushroom tikka. Even though it’s listed as a house specialty, the mushroom tasted like canned button mushroom. Would have been better if they had used fresh portobellos.
One of the best Indian food places in town. We felt the bestest. The ambience (Boat Quay) and lovely dishes give a very romantic and satisfying feeling. However it is a pricey place so do use eatigo discount vouchers for make an awesome meal a more value for money meal. The person serving, Ashish, did a great job in taking care and was very friendly.
