What Jane Doe doesn't like about Don Tori:
While the food was indeed fairly tasty, it certainly misses the was it worth it? mark. Two of us had two bowls of don buri, a dish of baked mushrooms, some tempura maki and two pieces of wagyu sushi. The rice on the don buri bowls was a little hard, but the seafood was fresh and tasty. The mushrooms had a bitter tang that prevented us from eating more than a third of it. The food perfectly represents what we enjoy about modern Japanese cuisine—simple and unpretentious, yet full of fresh, clean flavors. Standout dishes included the Truffle Wagyu and Foie Gras Donburi, which I could happily eat every day, and the grilled miso eggplant, which was surprisingly delicious despite its simplicity. Amazing Omakase that is affordable! But my fav is still their Truffle Wagyu foie gras Don! It’s a must try!!!! Staff are very friendly and attentive too.
